Windows Phone App of the Week: Nap on the Subway and Never Miss a Stop with Travelnapp
Maybe it’s happened to you, maybe not. Either way, I can’t imagine you, or anyone, would enjoy suffering the embarrassment of hopping off the subway and getting on the train heading in the opposite direction. You know everyone’s staring, thinking, “What’s her deal?”
No more, at least for Windows Phone owners. Travelnapp is an alarm clock app that wakes you up when you are approaching your destination when using public transportation. The app uses GPS to pinpoint your location and the location of your stop, and gives you an alert when you get near your stop. You’ll also get an estimated time of arrival (ETA) and average speed, which are used to create a failsafe alarm if for some reason you lose signal for your GPS. The app runs in the background, so it can interrupt you if you’re listening to music, watching a movie, or reading an ebook.
Travelnapp is available for free from the Windows Phone Marketplace.
